The state government aims to attract investments rolled a 10-year Electrical Vehicle. The policy aims to make the stat energy storage systems and electric vehicles hub, thereby creating 120,000 people employment through manufacturing activities, infrastructure development, and shared mobility.

    List of the state schemes to start a new manufacturing unit 

    The Telangana power capacity installed as of March 2022 was 18069.04 MW.  It contributed to private utilities by 7129.24 MW, state utilities by 8763.65 MW, and central utilities by 2,176.15 MW.  The largest contributor was Thermal power to the installed total capacity of the state with 10,481.19 MW and it also includes 2479.93 MW of hydropower, 4959.19 MW of renewable energy, and 148.73 MW of nuclear power.

    As per the ‘Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade’, the Telangana state received a cumulative FDI inflow totaling US$20.2 billion in March 2021. The state government is establishing Hyderabad Pharma City which is the first one, creating a new benchmark and smart ecosystem to support sustainable industrial cities.

    • The Telangana government has taken a big step to come into collaboration with pharma majors such as Laurus Labs and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, besides the academia to establish a one-of-its-kind flow ‘chemistry technology hub’ at the DRILS. 
    • The data of the State government shows that investments of Rs. 7500 crores are attracted by Hyderabad in biotech, pharma, and medical devices.
    • Ferring Pharmaceuticals, the Swiss major is having operations in the capital city and has invested approximately 30 million euros. Granules India also has announced to invest Rs. 400 crores in the coming 2 years to set up near Hyderabad a Greenfield facility.
    • The state government focuses on digital empowerment, entrepreneurship, and innovation that it is taking to global levels the innovation ecosystem. Thus, with the ICT policy, Microsoft and the Telangana state government signed a memorandum of understanding to support development through start-up programs in the local ecosystem.
