How To Start Wax & Polishes Industry

Waxes are basically the secretions collected out of plants and animals. These can also be obtained during the purification of petroleum in its most natural form. The most common waxes that we encounter in our daily lives are:

    • Beeswax which Is taken out of animals
    • Paraffin which is extracted from petroleum
    • Carnauba that is extracted from plants

Waxes are basically lipids that contain a lot of different types of substances such as esters and fatty acids. Wax paper is made with the help of these waxes. If you were to make some coating paper or needing it to be waterproof and resistant to stains you are going to need some wax on your hands. Even your shoe polishes, the shiny material used to make your furniture look pretty or the automotive polishes are all made out of wax. Wax has been around for a very long time, be it to make you jewelry shiny or make your life simpler in any other way. Wax containers are available in various different sizes in order to serve different utilities.

In the recent years, the world realized that paraffin is not just a byproduct, but a product all in its own. It is usually found as something that has no odor, no taste, it is basically a waxy material and has a very mediocre melting point. On the other hand, Praffin in its pure form conducts electricity like a charm. These are majorly used in the making of candles. Such facilities are found in abundance in India.

The worldwide demand for wax is going up by the minute. As of now it is about 10,000 million LBS and the value is 2.1 billion dollars. This is a very impressive number by any stretch. Mineral waxes aren’t much far behind. They account for almost 85 percent of the global demand. The growth rates are expected to go up in the coming years as well.

Now let’s talk about the stone polishing industry. Various stones used for decorations, such as the marble or the granite are all very soft and constitute of mainly natural minerals. These stones have the perfect properties required for being very polished. These can be polished in a wide range of colors and designs.

Polishing is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface by rubbing it or using a chemical action, leaving a surface with a significant specular reflection (still limited by the index of refraction of the material according to the Fresnel equations.) In some materials (such as metals, glasses, black or transparent stones) polishing is also able to reduce diffuse reflection to minimal values. When an unpolished surface is magnified thousands of times, it usually looks like mountains and valleys. By repeated abrasion, those "mountains" are worn down until they are flat or just small "hills." The process of polishing with abrasives starts with coarse ones and graduates to fine ones.

When it comes to architecture or the delicate art of sculpturing, these stones with their shiny polishes are a hit. Your home is no doubt filled with such stones. These must be adorning your staircases, floors and counter tops. Decorations of the walls or elevations are usually done with the decorative stones. These add to the aesthetic beauty of any place and even give the illusion of money and status to the owner. the construction industry makes heavy and almost every-day use of the decorative stones and their polishing. The market is hot for these goods, as along with the population, the need for housing (preferably lavish) is also increasing. Houses will always be constructed and the kitchen counters will always have a marble or granite slab on. Starting up a venture here could prove to be very fruitful.
