If we are thinking that the paper industry is disappearing, we need to think again. The year 2015 saw worldwide demand for graphic paper in Europe as well as in North America and there have been increased demands and forecasts for the same. 

    With time, the paper industry on the whole is growing. The demand for packaging is growing all across the world along with demand for pulp for hygiene products as well as tissue papers. There are numerous laboratories as well as development centers that are focusing much on the growing need of paper products. This demand is changing, developing and morphing as time passes. It needs to be well noted that the paper and the pulp industry is going through a substantial transformation as seen across many decades. 

    It needs to be well noted that the structure of the industry landscape for paper based products is changing. The changes are not dramatic at all and are being reflected on a long term basis. The change is so substantial that there is a need of making a difference. It needs to be well noted that consolidation is a major factor across many segments of the paper industry. 

    The paper based companies are positioned well for future growth and need to grow in an appropriate manner. The graphic paper and the straw market will continue to grow as the demand rises for them across the industry. There is an increased demand for packaging as well as tissue products. The demand for fiber based products is also increasing with some segments growing faster altogether. The demand trends that exist across the industry is turning into profitability as well as well positioned supply actions. The supply movements in this industry cannot be forecasted much, but literal observations can be made. 

    There are many challenges for the paper industry in the coming future. Even the straw, greybeard and stationery industry showcases many challenges. There are resource concerns, demographic changes, technological changes and much more that are anticipated for the coming years. There are significant challenges for the CEOs of established industries in this segment. It is important to manage turbulence in this industry and finding the right track for cost optimization. Thus, we have successfully been able to study briefly about the paper based and stationery industry and also how companies are positioning themselves across this industry at a global level.
