Carbon Black is a finely divided form of carbon produced primarily by the partial oxidation of vaporized heavy oil fractions in a furnace using approximately 50% of the air required for complete combustion. Carbon Black is available in various grades and is widely used in industries such as rubber products, plastics, printing inks, paints, and other process applications.
Carbon Black produced from scrap tyres represents a developed process with comparatively lower machinery requirements and reduced plant cost compared to conventional carbon black production methods. The process provides an opportunity to utilize waste tyres as a resource while supporting industrial production requirements.
A feasibility report has been proposed for establishing a greenfield production facility for manufacturing 900 Tons/Month of Carbon Black from Scrap Tyres.
